Art is a Journey--

My main teaching goal is to impart my love for art and the creative process to others. Encouraging participants to experience the magic first hand is what makes teaching rewarding. There is nothing better than seeing the light bulbs of creativity switched on in the eyes of class participants. My approach is to emphasize personal discovery and creative growth tailored to each individual. Together we learn techniques, experience the joy of processes, and we create unique, cool art!

When I was in high school I had the golden opportunity to attend summer art workshops in Wausau, WI. The experiences have stayed with me my entire life. Surrounded by other art enthusiasts in a supportive, encouraging environment was the turning point that hooked me into the pure pleasures of making art. I thank my lucky stars for all the great art teachers I've had and hope I can provide similar experiences for participants in my classes.

I teach a range of classes from funky projects to process oriented classes like the Art Play Series-- experimental painting, sketching, and mixed media adventures.
