Jill Jones

Jill Jones is an
award winning, mixed media artist working in acrylics and other water
media. She has participated in juried exhibits, museum shows and solo
exhibitions. Her work is in numerous private collections and appears in
magazines and zines.
The signature of Jill’s work is
the colorful abstraction of images taking the viewer on a journey into
realms of expression and imagination. Acrylics, collage and other water
media are layered with pattern, texture and personal symbols to create
visions of internal worlds. Her monotype printmaking is another facet of
her mixed media explorations.
Jill is also a certified creativity
coach, writer and instructor. She teaches art and creativity courses and
shares her passion for the creative process through her coaching practice,
Coach the Arts,
www.coachthearts.com.
Jill’s essays and illustrations appear
in Kaleidoscope: Ideas and Projects to Spark Your Creativity,
a North Light Book released in February 2007. She writes and illustrates
the “ARTsparks” column for ARTitude and also writes
for local art venues.
Jill lives in sunny Southern
California with her encouraging husband, Bill, and an enthusiastically
eclectic collection of art.
